Essex Wedding Photographer at Prittlewell Priory, Southend – Laura & Richard

Laura and Richard chose Prittlewell Priory for their wedding, it was a late wedding and we were very lucky with the weather, not too cold and nice even light. Prittlewell Priory is a great choice for a wedding ceremony, steeped in history, a medieval priory set in the heart of one of Southend most beautiful parks – Priory Park. The formal gardens are carefully tended and there is a vast choice of areas in which to capture lovely images of the couple and their guests.

Richard and the boys were at the venue first, looking good in their Moss Bros suits. It was lovely to see Laura’s Parents, sister Emily (who was a bridesmaid) and her husband Steve, whose wedding I did last year at the Rayleigh Club.
Laura arrived with her father in a white London cab, she had chosen a simple, stylish, figure hugging dress from Bridal Boutique in Southend which suited her really well, teamed with a plain veil, she looked gorgeous. The bridesmaids work damask pink dresses from Debenhams and they all carried simple yet effective, white and green bouquets. Laura was full of praise for the florist based in Bridgewater Drive in Westcliff, ‘she was really lovely’ were her comments.

The star of the show was Noah, Laura and Richards’ son, he is gorgeous, photogenic and made everybody smile.

The gardens look particularly lovely at this time of year and provide a great backdrop for wedding photography with colourful flowers and many mature trees covered in white blossom, swathes of Montana adds a real wedding atmosphere.
