Essex Wedding Photography at The Lawn, Rochford – Jennifer & Michael

How lovely to be back at the Lawn on a sunny September day to be part of Jennifer and Michael’s wedding. I made the most of the beautiful evening light and the fabulous gardens to get some gorgeous shots of our special couple. Here are a few of my favourites.

Great to be working with David and the team who pulled out all the stops as usual.
Have a fab honeymoon in Disneyland and I look forward to seeing you both soon and choosing the photos for your album.
Best wishes, Ruth Knight Photography

Essex Wedding Photography at The Lawn, Rochford – Gill & Martin

Lovely to be back at the Lawn in Rochford again for Gill and Martins Christmas wedding and so nice to see David and the team.

Its been a funny couple of years with so many weddings and events cancelled but that didn’t stop Gill and Martin from celebrating and enjoying themselves at their winter wedding. As usual nothing was too much trouble for the staff at the Lawn and everyone was able to relax and take in the comfortable atmosphere. Gill looked lovely in a burgundy dress, perfect for a winter wedding. Flowers were by Gill at Courts of Rayleigh.

Essex Wedding Photographer at the Roslin, Thorpe Bay – Claire & Martin

Essex Wedding Photographer at the Roslin, Thorpe Bay – Claire & Martin

Who would have thought that this would be the last wedding I did before falling at Schipol airport and breaking my shoulder, rendering me unable to work. Then just as I was able to hold a camera again the Coronavirus dominated our world making weddings impossible and wedding work still impossible.

When I look at these photos of Claire and Martin on their wedding day I realise how lucky we were to have this celebration.
Claire and Martin chose the Roslin as their wedding venue and they were surrounded by loving family and friends. It was packed which made it difficult to get photos so we used the huge mirrors to our advantage using them as a reflective backdrop, lights and colours enhanced the scene. We even attempted a group shot which was a lot of fun and had people laughing. Now it seems unthinkable that so many people could be together in one room.
Claire and Martin look so happy celebrating their wedding day as it should be celebrated with love, laughter friends and family. I look forward to designing their Graphistudio album, it will look gorgeous and it will be my absolute pleasure to present it to such a lovely couple. Congratulations and Best wishes. X

Wedding Photography at Cromwell Manor, Pitsea, Essex – Rachel & Jason

Wedding Photography at Cromwell Manor, Pitsea, Essex – Rachel & Jason

I recently had the pleasure to photograph the wedding of Rachel to Jason at Cromwell Manor. It was my first time working at this venue and I have to say I was very impressed with the staff, the vast grounds and the facilities. The manor itself is a 15th century wedding and banqueting venue based in Pitsea, Essex. The bridal suite is very spacious and there was plenty of room for Rachel and the girls to get ready. Rachel wore a lovely dress with a gorgeous waistband detail and she looked fabulous.

Rachel and Jason had chosen Cromwell Manor for its relaxed feel and spacious grounds, the large willow tree provided and excellent shady backdrop for my wedding photography on what was a very hot day.

Jason and the boys wore grey suits which looked really smart and their cerise pink ties matched the colour of the bridesmaids dresses.

Rachel and Jason share little Max And Jason officially became stepdad to Mitchell and Morgan. The three children were very involved in the wedding.

Thank you for asking me to be your photographer, it was my privilege and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Essex Wedding Photography at St Andrews & 100 Golf Club, Rochford – Nicola & Tim

Essex Wedding Photography at St Andrews & 100 Golf Club, Rochford – Nicola & Tim

I have recently had a great day with Nicola and Tim, the weather was perfect and their chosen venues were St Andrews Rochford then directly opposite to Rochford Hundred Golf Club where we were looked after by the lovely Tracy and her staff.

Nicola wore a beautiful dress from Precious Moments in Rayleigh, it really suited her with lace cap sleeves and bodice and a small train. Nicola’s bouquet was gorgeous with lilies and peonies and her friend Laura had made the most amazing wedding cake. Tim and the boys looked great in blue checked suits with ties that matched the burgundy in the bridesmaids dresses. In fact the whole day was supported by friends and family with Tim’s dad, Canon David Parrott making a superb job of conducting the wedding ceremony and being master of ceremonies at the reception.

It was one of the most chilled out and relaxing weddings I have ever been to, lots of laughter and chatting. In the evening we were entertained
by the excellent Geoff Grove who played great music and got everyone in the mood for dancing.

My very best wishes for a great future and tons of happiness.

Wedding Photographer at Brandy Hole, Hullbridge, Essex – Lynsey & Justin

Wedding Photographer at Brandy Hole, Hullbridge, Essex – Lynsey & Justin

Lynsey and Justin chose possibly the hottest day of the year so far to celebrate their marriage with family and friends, Lynsey looked stunning in a Mori Lee gown from Bridal Boutique in Southend, the dress really suited her and was lovely to photograph, she also managed to colour coordinate everybody in the wedding party,  bridesmaids and pageboys matched with Dads’ shirts and trousers, and Justin and the boys looked great.

The Brandy Hole in Hullbridge was where they held their wedding party and it was ideal as folk were able to sit out in the sunshine and take in the river view. We made the most of the setting sun using it as a backdrop for some photos.

An absolutely lovely family my congratulations go to you both and best wishes for the future.

Essex Wedding Photographer at The Lawn, Rochford – Prunella & Adrian

Essex Wedding Photographer at The Lawn, Rochford – Prunella & Adrian

The Lawn was the chosen venue for Prunella and Adrian, with its beautiful grounds and well organised staff it proved a winner for them. All those lovely old trees and the gardens give a stunning backdrop for my wedding photography so as usual it was a pleasure to work there.

Prunella looked gorgeous in a pale grey dress from Monsoon, they  gave such a choice it was hard for her to choose, very modern, stylish and elegant.

I asked Adrian why they had chosen the Lawn, this is his reply: We chose The Lawn as we were able to have the whole venue to ourselves, the staff we met before hand gave us great confidence in their professionalism and of course the grounds are stunning. Easy to reach from local hotels helped those who had travelled from afar.

We have been together 16 years and getting married in our “50’s” we wanted a happy occasion for friends and family who have known us for a long time! Everything worked out perfectly.

Our very best wishes go to a wonderful couple.

Wedding Photography at Langtons House, Hornchurch, Essex – Sarah & Kaz

Wedding Photography at Langtons House, Hornchurch, Essex – Sarah & Kaz

Back to Langtons House in Billet Lane Hornchurch, one of my favourite Essex wedding venues to photograph the wedding of Sarah to Kaz, even better their wedding was held in the blue room which I love, especially because of it’s wedgwood blue ceiling and chandelier, very regal. Sarah said ‘We chose langtons as we loved the grounds and the staff there were so helpful especially Carlie’. I couldn’t agree more and as usual posed our happy couple in front of the huge old tree which always makes a great backdrop for wedding photography.

Sarah looked stunning in her princess dress and I was impressed to see it had pockets, its great to have pockets in dresses and even better for a bride, you never know when you might need to top up your lipstick, or in Sarah’s case, find a dummy for a crying little one.

The bridesmaids wore navy which always looks great and Kaz looked really good along with his brother who was the best man in suits from Whistles Boutique, Bethnal Green. The boys looked gorgeous in suits from Roco Clothing.

Sarah’s friend and boss Beverly (principal of Beverly Marks Stage School) made her beautiful flowers and button holes.

It was hard to believe it was February as the weather was warm and sunny.

I wish this lovely little family all the very best for the future.

Essex Wedding Photographer at The Lawn, Rochford – Tania & Christopher

Essex Wedding Photographer at The Lawn, Rochford – Tania & Christopher

So my first wedding of the year was celebrated at the magnificent Lawn in Rochford, the theme today is all things classical and swanlike. From a small glass swan on the top of the cake, which Tania made herself, to daughter Ellena-Rose donning a tutu and performing for the wedding guests to the brides entrance, naturally walking down the aisle to the sounds of Swan Lake.

Tania’s dress was from Precious Moments in Rayleigh and suited her well, she also chose a long veil, very beautiful but not so good in the strong winds we were experiencing.

To their credit Tania and Christopher braved the weather and had some photos taken in front of the lovely manor house and the fountain.

Ellena-Rose and Natasha looked lovely in their simple white dresses from Chi Chi of London.

Flowers by Donna Marie Haynes florists in Rochford, only been open two weeks. We had four gorgeous little flower girls and the ever pleasant Jenny Herbert presided over the ceremony.

A smashing day spent with lovely people. My very best wishes go to Tania and Chris for a happy future.

Oh I nearly forgot, we had doves too, something a bit different and special from White Doves Experience.

Essex Wedding Photographer at Rayleigh Windmill & The Hawk, Battlesbridge -Louise & Tony

Essex Wedding Photographer at Rayleigh Windmill & The Hawk, Battlesbridge -Louise & Tony

Louise and Tony had one of the most relaxed weddings I have ever had the pleasure to be involved in, (apart from a few nerves from Tony). a truly happy, friendly and lovely couple there was laughter from start to finish.

The ever dependable Arrow Cars delivered Louise to the Rayleigh Windmill, a smashing little venue for smaller weddings, very intimate and relaxing. The lovely Jenny Herbert was on hand once again to make the ceremony that little bit more special. Afterward this happy couple travelled in their Rolls Royce to the Hawk in Battlesbridge for a fabulous meal and more fun.

They had booked a dining room which looked so welcoming and warm. Beautiful flowers from Courts of Rayleigh in reds and greens with blue thistles and berries added to the richness of the decor. Once again the cake was full of surprises, traditional from the front and lots of clues about this couple who are very accomplished swimmers, Tony having swum the English Channel more than once, on the back.

Thank you for inviting me for the meal which I thoroughly enjoyed. I wish you both every happiness for the future.

Wedding Photographer at Crondon Park, Stock, Essex – Katherine & Tony

Wedding Photographer at Crondon Park, Stock, Essex – Katherine & Tony

Ideally located in beautiful peaceful surroundings, Crondon Park proved to be the perfect place for Katherine and Tony to hold their unforgettable wedding.

Arrow cars laid on the transport and did a great job as usual but i have to say they were somewhat overshadowed by the presence of the Scammell lorries painstakingly restored by Tony and his Dad. Dad’s lorry was a 1954 model and Tony’s a 1964, obviously their pride and joy and naturally we used them in our wedding photography.

The boys interesting and unusual suits came from Del Tailors in Benfleet, Essex, they decided to buy them so I’m imagining they will be dressing up for future family parties and events.

Katherine looked beautiful in a lace and chiffon dress from Ivy Blue in Barleylands, the train looked gorgeous as I took some photos of them walking around the grounds.

It was an absolute pleasure to be the wedding photographer for Katherine and Tony and their families were so friendly, one of the great things about my job is that I get to work with so many lovely people.

Wedding Photography at The Rochford Hotel, Rochford, Essex – Lauren & Sam

Wedding Photography at The Rochford Hotel, Rochford, Essex – Lauren & Sam

I had a vested interest in Lauren and Sam’s wedding as I have known them both for some time. Sam was an usher at my daughters wedding and my son in law was an usher for them. It is so nice when you see a couple that fit so perfectly as these two do, genuinely in love and very happy together.

Another bonus was that I got to work at the Rochford Hotel again, so it was great to see Jane and the team, just so professional and caring and they make the day perfect. The gardens there are lovely, you could be anywhere and there are mature trees and lots of interesting little places to do the wedding photography.

Lauren looked lovely in her dress, from Precious Moments, she said ‘I honestly didn’t think I’d find one that quick but when I tried it on it felt so right….

A big surprise for Sam, from the boys was the drive to the Rochford Hotel in a black Dodge Charger 440 R/T – the menacing looking pursuit car immortalised in Bullitt, in perhaps the ultimate film car chase.

Sam was very emotional and shed a few tears of joy as Lauren walked down the aisle, lately my grooms have been the ones to cry, it’s nice to see that chaps can show their emotions.

John was a great best man and his speech had everyone in stitches.

Love and Best wishes to this lovely little family, every happiness for the future.

Essex Wedding Photographer at Porters and Toulouse, Southend on Sea – Ruth & George

Essex Wedding Photographer at Porters and Toulouse, Southend on Sea – Ruth & George

I haven’t been to Porters the civic house and mayors parlour for some time so it was nice to step inside one of Southend’s hidden treasures – an interesting and historic venue built in the 15th Century.

This venue is tucked away behind the walled grounds in the heart of Southend, set in delightful gardens gently sloping down to a lovely pond. It made a splendid backdrop for our wedding photos.

This was the choice for Ruth and George, and it really suited them, as they told me it was also very convenient as they live just over the road.

Ruth and George are two of the nicest people I have ever met, laid back and really friendly and it was lovely to meet their families too. After Porters we all went down to Southend sea front to Toulouse where they enjoyed a three course meal.

I am looking forward to meeting up with them again to discuss their photo choice for their MTA wedding album.

Wedding Photographer at The Lawn, Rochford, Essex – Jan & Martin

Wedding Photographer at The Lawn, Rochford, Essex – Jan & Martin

Just spent a few hours with a wonderful couple who were celebrating 40 years of marriage ~ ruby wedding anniversary. It was my pleasure to photograph Jan and Martin with their children, extended family and close friends at the Lawn in Rochford.

One of my favourite venues, always good to work there and even better when you get great people to work with. People like Andrew and Mandy who are so professional. We were lucky enough to get one of the loveliest and most sincere registrars I have ever met – Jennie Hubbard (sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong) and I want to say a special thank you to her as she always goes the extra mile to make people happy.

It was enjoyable taking Jan and Martin around the grounds at the Lawn and doing photos in the gorgeous gardens. I also noticed a brand new gazebo for outdoor weddings ~ something to look forward to.

Jan looked lovely in a proper wedding dress, which was a nice surprise for Martin. They gave each other new rings to celebrate and looked really happy together as they posed for photos. We were blessed with warm sunshine which was just as well as Martin had taken his kit car with him his pride and joy so we needed to get photos in front of that.

Congratulations to them both and I wish you many more happy years to come!

Essex Wedding Photography at The Lawn, Rochford – Valerie & William

Essex Wedding Photography at The Lawn, Rochford – Valerie & William

I recently visited the Lawn to photograph an unusual wedding, unusual because my lovely french bride Valerie wanted to do things a bit differently and of course being French there were lots of new ideas and things that we English don’t normally do. The first thing i noticed was the table plan, not so much a plan as a collection of beautiful keys with named labels attached.

The flowers were done by Gill at Courts of Rayleigh lovely little displays on each table and arrangements in teapots, Valerie wanted an Alice in Wonderland theme.
William and Valerie chose the Lawn to celebrate their wedding and as always David, Amanda and the staff didn’t disappoint, the day ran smoothly and everything was taken care of.
It was nice to bump into Jennie and Katie again and they both enjoyed doing bridal hair and make up.
Valerie looked stunning in a dress bought in France, it was beautiful and the detail was gorgeous, she was very photogenic and we had fun once the formal photos were taken doing shots in the house.
Our bride and groom chose to have a priest bless their wedding after the registrars had done their part and it was good to have the time to take some wedding photos from the gallery whilst the service was going on.
Valerie presented William with a lovely little puppy which was her wedding gift to him, they both love dogs and already have a greyhound.
We wish them every success in the future and thank you for inviting me to your new home in Cannes!

Wedding Photographer at Apton Hall, Rochford, Essex – Sophie & Phill

Wedding Photographer at Apton Hall, Rochford, Essex – Sophie & Phill

Sophie and Phill decided on the wonderful Apton Hall for their wedding ceremony, my first time at this relatively new venue and I was impressed with the building, the gardens and attention to detail. I loved the red brick, the beams, the lovely wooden doors and the old cart. There are so many lovely features to use as a backdrop to my wedding photography, and lots of space. I was also impressed by the staff who bent over backwards to help, huge thanks go out to Chloe and Craig for being consummate professionals and making the day run smoothly, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you. Oh and the meal was great!

Other great professionals on the day were Arrow Cars who were great as always and it was nice to get some shots featuring their vintage Rolls Royce. It was good to see Jennie doing bridal hair and Katie Poole doing make up.
Sophie wore a gorgeous lace dress from Kay Mason, she looked beautiful. Phil and the boys looked good in dark grey suits from Anthonys in Billericay Essex. Phill took one of his favourite toys with him and posed for ‘wedding photos’ sitting on it.
Hayes florists made a really good job of the flowers, there were lovely displays on every table with gerberas, in various shades of pink and gypsophila in tall glasses.
Sophie and Phill are a lovely couple, friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see them so happy and enjoying their day surrounded by friends and family. I can’t wait to make their Graphistudio album. Best wishes, and good luck for their future happiness.

Essex Wedding Photographer at Langtons House, Hornchurch – Adam & Daniel

Adam and Daniel chose Langtons House in Billet Lane Hornchurch, one of my favourite Essex wedding venues to celebrate their marriage. The boys wedding was held in the blue room with it’s wedgwood blue ceiling and chandelier it makes a great backdrop for wedding photography.

The boys looked gorgeous in matching pale grey suits, with matching ties and shoes. They had four bridesmaids wearing taupe dresses, they looked lovely. We had a beautiful sunny day and used the extensive grounds to capture wedding images of this happy couple.

I would like to wish them every happiness for the future and am looking forward to seeing them both when they return from honeymoon to discuss their Graphistudio book and choose the photos.

Wedding Photographers at Friern Manor, Dunton, Essex – Dalinda & Allan

Wedding Photographers at Friern Manor, Dunton, Essex – Dalinda & Allan

Nice to go back to Frien Manor, a classic Georgian Manor set within four acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, it is a popular choice for weddings. Situated in Dunton, Brentwood Essex, it is one of the nicest venues I have worked in. It is romantic and has lovely gardens complete with statues, gorgeous old trees, decking and a lake all of which make a great backdrop for wedding photography.

Dalinda and Allan chose Frien Manor to get married in, it was perfect for them and the weather was hot and sunny which really helped.

Dalinda looked beautiful and wore a gorgeous dress, bridesmaids wore a lovely shade of green. Allan looked very handsome in a smart grey suit from Dappers and I enjoyed photographing this lovely couple.

It was an emotional occasion with Delinda’s brother performing the ceremony in Spanish using a translator. Many of her family couldn’t make it and Allan had organized for messages to be shown on a screen, a nice touch which at some points had our bride in tears.

Gorgeous flowers came from the Orchid Room Wickford. The amazing cake came from Jennifer cakes in Martels Wedding and Events village, High Easter Road, Dunmow, Essex.

Huge thanks as always to Carl and our friends at Arrow Cars for providing a lovely vintage wedding car and impeccable service, it really is a pleasure to work with them.

A big thank you to Rebecca, John and Andrew at Frien Manor for organizing the day so well and making it run smoothly.

A beautiful couple I wish them every happiness for the future.

Essex Wedding Photography at Sands, Southend On Sea – Laura & Pete

Essex Wedding Photography at Sands, Southend On Sea – Laura & Pete

Laura and Pete chose the fun and relaxed Sands as their wedding venue, it’s great to be married by the estuary to have photos done with our famous local landmark – the Pier – in the background and on one of the hottest days of the year the water was very inviting.

The fabulous Natalie was on hand to make sure it all went well, nothing is ever too much trouble for Natalie and I cannot recommend her enough, her enthusiasm is boundless. Big thanks go out to her and the Sands team who do their utmost to make everything even more special.
Laura and the bridesmaids got ready just down the road at the Park Inn Palace Hotel, so it was great to take photos as they walked along Southend sea front to the sound of car horns and people calling out best wishes. Laura looked lovely and was so happy, showing no signs of nerves. The bridesmaids wore baby blue dresses.
Pete and the boys waited at Sands for their arrival and we did some photos of them on the walkway by the sea, they wore gorgeous blue suits and their ties complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses which really went with the seaside theme.
As always Sands looked great with the strings of pretty lights dancing above our heads as the marriage vows were read and the ceremony took place.
I got some great images of Laura and Pete on the beach, they are such a lovely couple and were happy to walk along and just be themselves in order to get some great shots. It was nice to work with Ben from Blatella again.
One of the happiest weddings I have ever photographed, (thank you for the fish and chips) and I wish them both every happiness in the future.

Wedding Photography at St Andrews Church, Westcliff on Sea – Sarah & Simon

Wedding Photography at St Andrews Church, Westcliff on Sea – Sarah & Simon

Sarah and Simon chose their regular church St Andrews in Westcliff to exchange wedding vows, it’s a lovely old and very big church with a real sense of community and the feeling that it is always busy.

There are not many places to take wedding photos but we managed with the brick walls which didn’t look too bad and a brief trip to Chalkwell Park, using the many lovely old trees, the bridge and the greenery as our photography backdrop.

Sarah and Simon are a couple very much in love and seeing Simon’s face light up as he looked at Sarah for the first time when she walked down the aisle was beautiful.

Vicar Paul was so helpful, showing me the different areas of the church and just generally making me feel welcome.

The Reception was held here too and the couple had a ‘right royal’ afternoon tea, it was almost like a street party indoors.

Simon’s brother Tim was best man and his four adorable children were bridesmaids and pageboy along with Amber.

Simon has advised me to hug a tree so I will be trying this in the future, if nothing else it will make me laugh and they showed me how to do it in Chalkwell Park.

My thanks go to Sarah and Simon for choosing me as their wedding photographer, it was an absolute pleasure to work with them.

Essex Wedding Photographers at Kelvedon Church & Marks Hall, Coggeshall – Rosie & Jason

Essex Wedding Photographers at Kelvedon Church & Marks Hall, Coggeshall – Rosie & Jason

Fabulous day, fabulous wedding, lovely people!

Rosie and Jason chose a beautiful country church to get married in then chose the lovely Marks Hall in Coggeshall, Essex to hold the reception. Both venues were new to me and I loved them. I have a penchant for country churches and Kelvedon church didn’t disappoint, lots of lush greenery to use as a backdrop to my wedding photography. Jason and the boys wore blue suits with fab checked waistcoats and pink ties to match the bridesmaids’ pink dresses.

Rosie is as her name suggests a beautiful English rose and she looked a picture in a lace dress and matching veil.

The big surprise of the day was the transport, Rosie and her mum arranged for the actual bus driven by her Grandad in the 50’s to ferry them to the church, some of his colleagues were on the bus too.

The weather was hot and sunny, and guests were able to make the most of the beautiful gardens at Marks Hall. Such a lovely venue, it has extensive grounds, a lake and formal gardens all of which are superb for wedding photographs. The geese were very protective of their goslings. Another fine bird was the peacock which strutted around the grounds displaying its beautiful plumage.

Big thanks go to all the team who were very friendly and welcoming, I hope to be working at Marks Hall again soon.

I look forward to Rosie and Jason’s return from honeymoon when they can see their wedding photos and we can make choices for their Graphistudio album.

Essex Wedding Photography at Langtons House, Hornchurch – Rhonda & Ashley

Essex Wedding Photography at Langtons House, Hornchurch – Rhonda & Ashley

The first wedding of 2018 was a small one, held at Langtons House in Hornchurch, one of my favourite Essex wedding venues. I love the architecture, the windows and the beautiful gardens especially the old tree and it’s great to be able to go outside and capture images walking along the pathway. Rhonda and Ashley chose Langtons House as the perfect venue for their marriage. Their respective parents were present to witness the happy couple’s ceremony and pose outside on a bright but chilly day to get some lovely wedding images.

Essex Wedding Photographers at Channels, near Chelmsford – Carly & Jason

Essex Wedding Photographers at Channels, near Chelmsford – Carly & Jason

Yay! Back to Channels which has changed quite a bit since I was last there and is still a great wedding venue with really helpful and dedicated staff.

Carly and Jason chose Channels for their wedding because they loved the venue and it also gave the opportunity to have an outdoor ceremony – in October! Needless to say, they were lucky with the weather and were able to have their wishes fulfilled.

Such a loving family with gorgeous kids and it was especially emotional for Jason as he hadn’t seen his Dad for 17 years, so it was a tearful reunion.

Carly wore a figure hugging ‘fishtail’ dress from Bridal Boutique in Southend, she looked amazing, she has the most beautiful eyes too and the makeup really enhanced them.

I loved the way Carly had chosen different colours for the bridesmaids’ dresses (bought on eBay, who says you need to spend a fortune!) the girls looked fabulous.

Jason and the boys wore suits from Paul Costello in Braintree Essex, they looked very smart and little Kason aged 2 looked so cute in his.

There were some funny moments as well and also time to take some romantic wedding photos by the trees and the lake, it’s always nice to have a pretty background for the wedding photography.

The flowers and chair covers came from Lacey Events Services in Westcliff and the cake was from the Homemade Bakery in Leigh on Sea.

It was lovely to meet the families and be a part of Carly and Jason’s big day.

Essex Wedding Photographer at St. Nicholas, Wakering & The Lawn – Rachel & Terry

Essex Wedding Photographer at St. Nicholas, Wakering & The Lawn – Rachel & Terry

Just had a meeting with Rachel and Terry whose wedding I did recently, it was so nice to relive it, talk about happy moments and laugh about unforeseen hitches. I am looking forward to creating their Graphistudio Album.

Rachel and Terry are such fun to be around, happy people, always smiling and laughing, it was such a pleasure to work with them and it was good to be back at the Lawn with Andrew running the show and making everything perfect.

Rachel’s dress from Serena Bridal in Wickford was beautiful and she looked lovely in it, it suited her so well. I loved her shoes too! The bridesmaids’ dresses were a gorgeous turquoise and came from The Dressmaker in Leigh on Sea. Terry and the boys wore grey suits from Moss Bros.

Faith Gurel did an amazing job with the flowers which were a stunning burnt orange and contrasted so well with the blue of the dresses and were perfect for an autumn wedding.

The wedding service was held in one of my favourite churches, St Nicholas in Great Wakering and the Reverend Kim Lepley was brilliant as always, so friendly and relaxed it is a pleasure to watch her work and see the lovely way she has with people.

We had two vintage Rolls Royce from the lovely Arrow Cars people and a Routemaster bus to take everyone back to the Lawn.

The cake by Occasions Cake Studio in Grays was a work of art, brilliant the way they created the figures of Rachel and Terry to be wearing the exact outfits that they actually wore. I loved the large, colourful balloons from Love Me Do balloons in Hockley.

Wedding Photography Our Lady of Lourdes & Rayleigh Club – Elizabetta & Marc

Wedding Photography Our Lady of Lourdes & Rayleigh Club – Elizabetta & Marc

Wow! Fabulous sunshine in late September and really warm too, Elisabetta & Marc were so lucky with the weather. The contrasty light made wedding photography difficult but it was great to see everyone enjoy the sunshine.
First stop was Our Lady of Lourdes in Leigh On Sea, where Father Kevin gave a great service as usual. It’s a beautiful church and it is nice to have the bushes and trees providing a background and some shade for my photography.
Marc, his son and the best man Omar looked great in blue suits from Paisley of London, with pink ties which matched the pink in the bridesmaids’ dresses which came from Asos. Elisabetta looked lovely in a gorgeous lacy vintage style dress and veil from Blush in Leigh Road, Leigh on Sea.
The Reception was held at the Rayleigh Club and I got some great shots of Elisabetta & Marc under the willow tree. I also took full advantage of the mirrors in the entrance to get some nice shots of Elisabetta and sister Elenora. It was a lovely, happy relaxed and I wish we could do it all over again.
